Help with wordpress – Image not in line with text? Please help…?

Hi,
I am having some serious trouble and have no idea whats going on… In the theme that I downloaded, the images sit inline with the text perfectly and it looks lovely. On MY blog, it doesnt work that way. I have made a lot of changes to the design but NOTHING to the coding as a) I have zero clue about coding – zero! and b) I dont want to change it.
I have even tried restoring the original to see if I had accidentally changed any of the coding my mistake but the same thing happens.
This is what it is supposed to look like (note the top posts and the mag posts):

and this is what my site looks like:

http://barkforrights.com/

See the difference in the images inline with the text? It doesnt make a difference if the image is small, large, square, rectangle – nothing works. I just want it to look like it does in the theme demo. PLEASE HELP!

(thank you!)

PS- I have no idea what version of wordpress I am using as I cant find where it says that? But it doesnt tell me to update so I *assume* I’m using the latest version?
had previously done that as I looked it up on the WP site and it is STILL not wrapping the text around the image as in the template demo. VERY frustrating! Any other ideas???
its definitely aligned to the left – thats no issue, but the text just wont wrap around it! I want it to look exactly like the demo – instead the bottom of the image starts on the first line of the words. If i move the image down, it still doesnt wrap, only leave a huge gap where the text *should* be. Doesnt work on right align wither, and center align just puts the image centered on top of the text no matter what I do.
never mind, i found it – for anyone else having the same problem, here is the solution:

Blog Design Journal answers:

For the text area where you’ve inserted your image, you should be able to click on the image and change its settings.

There should be a setting for ‘align’. Set this to left, depending on which way you would like the text to wrap around your image.

If there is no user-friendly options for your image settings, you will need to edit the HTML.

Go to the HTML code and look for the code for your image. It should look like:

leaf graphic

insert the property:

align=left

after <img … So that it looks like:

leaf graphic

Customize WordPress themes?

I’ve recently installed wordpress into my site.

The thing is, I don’t like or want any of the themes they offer.

Is there any way that I can make the blog have the same appearance/layout as my own personal site?

BTW, I only installed wordpress because I thought it might be better than CuteNews. If there are any FREE blogging systems out there, can you please recommend some? :]

Also, what can I use to have several comment boxes throughout my site? Like, one for blogs, and one for just feedback of my visitor content or something like that. Any ideas?

Please help! Thanks.

Yahoo 360 “Mature Content” Violations?

I just recieved a message from Yahoo 360 team that said that my latest blog was “mature content” and they went and marked it themselves as “mature”. There was nothing mature about it and they do not tell me what about my blog was offensive and needed to be adressed?? If they do not tell you what it was that was offensive then how can I know what I did if they dont tell me specificly! ? I dont see how it helps if they dont tell people WHAT they didn’t approve of, how is that going to solve anything? People will keep doing the same thing over and over agian if they do not tell you what you did wrong…. I dont want to be in violation and do not want my account terminated for somethign I have Know idea what i did wrong?? If its my blog writtings then tell me it is, if its my background theme then tell me it is, if it is my pictures then tell me it is…. they need to be clear about what they find offense on our pages so we can correct the problem.
Peopel are not going to want to blog if they are in fear of getting violatiions and their account canceled.. and if they mark all their blogs “mature” to be safe then thats not really good either. what if its not a “mature” blog then no one sees it, if they dont want to see mature blogs even though its not a mature blog.
Is there a way to uncheck a blog “mature”? or do I just delete and repost? I dont want to be a habitual violator… I just dont know what was it that was so offensive?

Blog Design Journal answers:

I just went to your 360, sorry I didn’t leave a remark but my guess for the mature rating would be the background photo. To me she is not offensive but with your 360 available for the public to see someone probably went in there and just reported for kicks. I also agree with you that when we are issued a violation we should be told how to prevent it from happening again.
